Just posted on the forums was this heads up from Illuminator. It speaks of a what we have been seeing from most of the reviews at this time. This preview comes with 5 scans. In the end OFP:DR scores a 8.5/10.
Enclosed the first German test of the XBOX360 version, out of the German XBOX360 Live Mag.
First of all the rating: OFP-DR got 8.5 points of 10
So, test your German skills again friends ! *hihi* just kidding….
Ok, here the overview:
Quote:° 50 vehicles in the game (wrong number, still 28, see comment Helios)
° 66 different weapons, every weapon has other ballistics
° easy motion/control of vehicles
° loading time after you die, to reload the last checkpoint, nearly 25 sec (PC version is faster, i checked it with the press kit)
° Targets are long way away from each other (he, welcome to the reality, it’s not CoD ! *LoL*)
° In the first moment the GFX is not that good, but the overall impression is very attractive
° nice special effects
° great sound and explosions
° the hardcore mode makes a lot of fun
° nice Coop games, feeling is great
° only the AI is sometimes a bit “poor”
So, in my point of view it’s a very good result for the XBOX version.
Thanks for that,
To confirm it looks like they got the vehicle numbers wrong, it is indeed 28 and not 50 like they state.
Just wanted to let you all know that we have a new video due out later this afternoon/evening on IGN.

As you may know, if you follow my twitter, I found a advisement stuck to my subscriber copy of PC Gamer. Due to some website issues I could post a news article but have been keeping great updates though twitter and the mailing list. It took me a bit of time but I got access to a scanner, previously I was limited to 4MP webcam pictures. Now the scans have been uploaded for you to enjoy.
# Correct was made, the word demo should have read – download.
The offical website has updated the “do you think you are ready” part of the website. Inside is a minigame that is made to test “your skills”. upon playing skillfully your presented with DOWNLOAD codes, and poorly a map. Below is what you get – Enjoy!. The discussion is here.
Thank to ffyfe and pasch,
Some new screengrabs have been uploaded by helios that outline the graphical options in the game:
Thanks to community member Shaz73, A new Question and Answer session with Tim Brown (Senior game designer) was found on www.411mania.com.
A total of 5 questions where asked to Tim Brown. Most info will sound familiar for most of you, but it’s still worth a read:
Q. An inevitable question – how did you approach providing the sim-like qualities of the PC original and adapt that for consoles keeping the essential elements that make it Operation Flashpoint?
A. We wanted to keep key elements from the original such as the one bullet kills to vital organs, a huge game world, sandbox gameplay and lots of weapons, equipment and vehicles for the player to play with. Some of these points were fairly trivial to have on a console however we’re incredibly proud of Codemasters own EGO engine technology behind Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and its very impressive 220km² playable island and the 30km draw distance.
Tim Browne also stated “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good game in its class, but did in no way affect Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising”

This new interview found by hero member illuminator reveals some new information, mainly that of multiplayer. One of my personal bugbears was the ranking system but it wont be to the extent of unlockables which should be fine for now:
I know quite a few members are concerned at some of the AI shown in recent preview videos, but I feel that the vast majority of you are missing one vital point.
Just seconds ago Helios posted up news of the xbox achievements.
