The USMC is short for the United States Marine Corps. The USMC was originally formed as naval infantry dating in 1775. Now the Marine Corps though years of combat have become the worlds leader in amphibious warfare. Fighting in every armed American conflict, the Marine Corps are now a key part of the United States forces ability to project it’s personnel rapidly around the world. As expeditionary force the Marine Corps take a host of duties and are most often the first to enter, and last to leave.

In Operation Flashpoint 2 the storyline has both the USMC and PLA fighting over a piece the natural resources of a island. In the single player, gamers take control as a Marine SF unit and later various sub sections of the Marine Corp.
