• Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is very unforgiving, a single wrong step gets you killed
• Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will definitely be a more realistic games then casual shooters
• Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising’s AI is very, very smart
• Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising runs beautiful in it’s current state, and is well-optimized at this moment.
• Red barrels are found as an bugger to realism

- Can you tell us something more about the multiplayer? And about the Co-op mode?
There will be no offline multiplayer, nor an offline co-op mode. Online you can play the co-op mode with up to four friends.

This seems to indicate that there may be no LAN option in the game itself.

Hi all,

It’s not often I post directly to the forums but I spotted this and wanted to stop you guys from worrying about this.

When Sion said no offline he meant no split screen. We are fully supporting LAN/System link on console as well as on PC for not only the single player co-op campaign but also the multiplayer PVP.

I hope this clears up this issue.

Now that I’ve said that, you’ve either left because you’re a hardcore military sim fan, or you’ve stuck around because you’re a reasonable person who realizes that you’re about to read the thoughts of someone who probably doesn’t share your idea of fun. A nice few tad bits of information in this Preview of the game.

Before the departure to battle, we have the opportunity to look at a simplified and expanded version of a briefing to us abreast of us the required objectives. These activities fall under the main and ancillary – optional. We can also inspect the equipment of each soldier from the unit. Unfortunately you can not set up our equipment.

Main preview is to be up tommorrow, when done so this post will be updated with the information.

Two new in-game video’s have been released, One is from an German Preview, and one has been captured at the E3.

Both video’s came as a bit of a surprise. The First French video shows 5 full minutes of footage. The soldiers also speak with a little accent. In the special build mission, the squad is going to blow up a radar station, on a smaller island near the coast of Skira Island.

Helios also announced the grass detail distance can be changed by the user himself; you can find the announcement here
